1. Personal Responsibility
All yoga practices are undertaken at your own risk. Please ensure you are physically fit and cleared by your healthcare provider before beginning pre or postnatal sessions. Your safety is our priority, but each participant is responsible for knowing their body’s limits.
2. Medical Clearance
Participants are strongly advised to consult a qualified healthcare professional before joining any yoga program, especially during pregnancy or postpartum recovery. This ensures the chosen exercises are safe for your specific health conditions and recovery stage.
3. Listen to Your Body
If you experience pain, dizziness, or discomfort during class, stop immediately and inform the instructor. Avoid pushing your limits, and practice only within your comfort zone to maintain both safety and mindfulness in your journey.
4. Instructor Guidance
Kannamma provides guidance based on certified expertise in pre and postnatal yoga, fitness, and nutrition. However, all advice is educational and not a substitute for professional medical consultation or treatment. Always follow your doctor’s recommendations first.
5. Online Session Limitations
In online classes, the instructor may not always be able to correct every posture visually. Participants must ensure adequate space, safe surroundings, and proper equipment to prevent falls or injuries during practice at home.
6. Pre-existing Conditions
Inform the instructor about any pre-existing conditions, surgeries, injuries, or complications before joining. This helps tailor the session to your needs and ensures each movement supports safe recovery and balanced progress.
7. Equipment Safety
Use a yoga mat and supportive props suitable for your body and floor type. Ensure your surroundings are clutter-free, ventilated, and safe for movement. Proper setup reduces the risk of falls and enhances the effectiveness of each session.
8. Postnatal Participation
New mothers should start postnatal yoga only after medical approval, usually six weeks post-delivery for normal births and longer for cesarean. Each woman’s recovery timeline is unique, and gradual practice is encouraged for safe strength rebuilding.
9. Limitation of Liability
Kannamma Yoga, its instructors, or partners are not liable for any injury, health issue, or property damage arising from participation. By enrolling, you acknowledge and accept full responsibility for your well-being during and after sessions.
10. Emergency Assistance
If you feel unwell or experience abnormal pain during or after class, please stop immediately and seek medical help. Prioritize your health, and inform the instructor for follow-up advice to adjust future sessions appropriately.
